110824 Scouting The House with Pinter

Screenshooter's Note:
I've been scouting the houses in Shezrie's Towns mod. There are a lot of houses and.. to be honest.. I'm confused which one to choose from because they are all beautiful!

The shot was taken inside the updated Willow Hall in Lakewood.
It suits my current needs: a pretty house with windows with exterior views.
The challenge is simple: conquering the lighting.
If I can manage the lighting, things will be easier and I can proceed with the project.

110707 Getting Back To The Track

Awritey, just one update for.. uh.. this week :|

After the "Hi Rezer" project, I took a break from screenshooting. I did manage to finish leftover plans such as: creating a new gallery pose (pretty much NSFW), re-tweaking the script and layout for my custom facial animations mod, and tweaked Karenina and Dewi "Dee" Anggun's skin texture. It's nothing complicated, just adding a darker tone for their nipples to look almost real.

Anyways, I always keep in touch with you in here (blog commenting), in the forums (in my thread), PMs, and Skype or Google Talk.
If I haven't participated in your thread, don't be afraid! I dig the inspiration from your thread. It's just... I'm lazy to write right now. Lack of coffee at its best ^_^;

Rezer! (And a Screenshooter's Note before I sleep)

Phew! I've been on a blast. At least that's how I feel today.
Days ago were pretty much hell. I got fever.

It was quite a psychedelic ride, all of fellow Shooters' avvies and characters came to live. Those dreams (albeit short) are worth treasured, and probably I will not have such dreams for a long time.

Finally my fellow Shooter Lovender has registered in TESAdventures. This is a good news because.. well.. he's a fellow Indonesian. I cherish the moment for every fellow countrymen I meet in this virtual world.

"How's your project?" you might ask.
I am doing 2 projects, featuring Rezer and Karenina. As of now, I focus on Rezer first because her project's theme is simplistic, every shot is taken inside Chorrol's public bath due to the interior lighting and ambient colours.

That would be all for now ^_^

End of May

Time flies fast, innit? I can't believe it is the end of May, I felt like I had been through an invisible temporal gate and flung me to the future in matter of seconds.

Lots of things have happened, both bad and good. I also got re-enlightenment and wonder how I have evolved in a wrong direction. False accretion, I have been tainted with my mind been invaded with so many conflicting ideas from numerous sources.

All this has happened before, it doesn't have to happen again.

I am starting anew (again). I have tried to empty my mind to zero and try to rediscover my former self: chipper, full of vibe, and pretty much pristine. Perhaps my affirmative personality has led those idealist in planting their extreme values to me. It's not one idealist but more than three. Heh, now you know how I always been judged and limited because of unnecessary inception thingy.

Starting anew, putting semi-permeable barrier in accepting ideas, and standing on my own bastion of independence, I shall re-start myself while still resuming the endless journey of life.

That would be all about me.

What about the screenshooting scene, you ask.
Same stuffs different day. Some fellow Shooters announced their temporary retirement, few complain about how the forum members have been doing wrong things ( I sense a drama in the making), others are still doing what Screenshooters do: posting their shots and supporting the others.
Me? Heh, my thread is buried. I don't mind about it even though someone openly oppose my thread, saying that he doesn't like my style.
I don't give a frak. In fact, I don't even know what to say about his shots either.

At least I have my cute little circle of fellas whom I really know of.
The self-development articles I have been reading state a same statement: cherish what you have and keep them closer.

Thus I cherish my fellow Shooters whom I know their real life and personality. It's no longer about comments, it's about fellowship.

Oh and my re-enlightenment stated that I shall not measure my performance with numbers, instead I have to keep on pushing myself beyond the limit.

If there were miracles, my former self would come to me and slapped me for going in the wrong direction. I shall keep my path just like how I did many months ago and persist with the path.

Few more screenshooting sessions to go and I will continue to the last part: post-processing.

Cheerio for now !

A Social Reject Indeed.

Alright, as of this moment, I am now literally cut out from social circle.
I don't have Facebook anymore, I also don't have any Twitter account.

This is caused by my existence is virtually ignored by many. Now I wonder why I even accepted my so-called "friends" invitation to Facebook.

Almost all of my plea for helps were not returned, only just a few good fellas did help me. You can count them with one hand.

Is my life miserable? Maybe, maybe not.
I didn't choose myself being a social reject. The society itself has chosen to ignore my existence. I guess they don't require my contribution, eh?

So, that does it.
If the so-called "friends" tell me that I ignore them, I shall remind them that it was their choice to ignore me first.

This rant is not caused by a one day incident, it has been accumulated for years.

I guess I am a misanthrope. I didn't choose being a misanthrope, yet the society gave me no other alternative.

Let it be this way.

110509 After Lunch, and I Got This Reminder Inside My Brain

You did many screenshooting sessions, you have post-processed them using any image-editing programs with your deepest soul, swayed the virtual brushes here and there, changed layers, re-did the shadows and lighting, and finally you posted the final shots to the forum you like.

Then what?
I know that you demand comments. Don't lie. Don't. Ever. Lie. To. Me. This behaviour has always been spotted not only in Oblivion but also in any general gaming forum.

Number of comments is seen as the value of your shots. It works like the +1 point feature.

This is where the problem lies and creates unnecessary dramas; for many have craved for recognition, worse: competition. In other words, e-pen0r.

Many scenarios exist, but here are the common ones:

- The shooter posts the shots. He/she gets no comments. He/she feels ignored --> Q__Q ragequit

- The shooter posts the shots but he/she doesn't even interact with other fellow shooters. The shooter then gets ignored --> Q__Q ragequit

If you do happen to be ignored and skipped (which is not very true), don't sweat it.
As I have said to many fellow Shooters: shoot for yourself first. Amuse yourself with your shots. Sharing the shots with others is another matter and entirely up to you.
As for me, since I'm pretty much the underdog of all Shooters, I have get used to being ignored and skipped for years.

Now this blog is a solution to avoid unnecessary dramas because of not the scenarios above, but because there are several shooters out there who despised my screenshooting style.

Let's say that they are idealistic people who keeps on judging on how screenshooting shall be done. And I don't know why they picked me.

While I have adapted to such harsh treatments, there was the time I said enough and stood up against them. Also thanks to them, my name is usually associated with negative impressions.

Still, I visit the forums although the air of unwelcoming is thick enough. I don't give a frak. Instead, I have discussed with few fellow Shooters in how to increase the comfort zone for lots of shooters out there, especially the ones who have been ignored.

He had an awesome plan. Did it work? Unfortunately not. It's not because of the flaws in the plan, but because the culture of conflict itself has rooted deep in that community. If you do happen to know which one I am talking about, I'm pretty sure you are guessing the same thing.

What's the solution then? Resort back to forums.
In forums, things are pretty much manageable. Of course, the number of the members there are huge. Even my fellow Shooter had said to me that he had to spend around 2 or 3 hours just to finish commenting and giving supportive vibe. If you do happen to be in the forums where I am also active too, I shall say this:
I have never skipped a thread; and I will always try to give creative comments as I usually avoid giving a one-liner.

There are 3 forums I am active for now.
One is a very old forum, you will still see the familiar members from years ago since the time of Morrowind.
One is very active, unfortunately I can't access it! I don't know why, there were lots of updates the last time I was there.
The last one is also active, but I haven't got there because I don't know what to post. I have only been posting about Oblivion stuffs there and fear that they will see me as an Oblivion freak xD
Truth is, I ain't such Oblivion fanboys. I still have a life and real life dramas been going on, even by the time I write this post... and that's why I get back to Oblivion for refreshing.

If this post is too much tl;dr, here's the summary:
1. Shoot for yourself first. Sharing the shots with fellow others is entirely up to you.
2. If you get skipped or ignored, don't sweat it. See point 1.
3. Keep up the positive thinking and keep on spreading the vibe.

Phew.. That Was Helluva Lots of TGM and TCL... And A Screenshooter's Note..

Awrite, everything is done according to the plan.
My Oblivion is back to its pristine condition, the MQ is all done, not even touching the side quests, and.. now I'm back to TestingHall. How I miss this place already..

In any case.. I have been having a struggle on my own. It sounds cheesy and unimportant.. but.. I think I'm transferring the flagship of my trademark from Kaleeya to my new character, Karenina.

This is a very mixed up feeling. On one hand, Kaleeya has been my trademark for years, a very old character since the beginning of her save file upload to Nexus. Nuh uh, she's far more older than that.
Aha! Since when she began her conception in the lab's computer :D
On the other hand, Karenina is fresh, and she's inspired from many Indonesian beauties (especially Balinese.. heh, talking about the mystical beauty of the Island of The Gods itself  ^__^;) and Emanuela de Paula.

So... Yea.. You might not see Kaleeya as frequent as she used to be. Somehow I shall follow the steps of my fellow Shooters to embrace Head06-based races.

Also, this guilty relief makes me wonder....
What would happen to me if I had really obsessed and invested all of my time making the comics based on Kaleeya and her sisters, and suddenly I had this.. change of heart?
I don't know :|
Maybe I would have gone insane, feeling there was something missing from my mind...

I guess I shall adapt to this change. Hopefully Kaleeya doesn't mind, she has had helluva lots of fun times for years anyways.
Oh and don't get me wrong, I won't delete her.

Awritez, it's time to gather inspiration to create more new characters based on Head06.

Cheerio for now ^__^

All This Has Happened Before...

... and hopefully doesn't have to happen again.

Speaking of vicious cycle of fate and eternity...

Anyways, I have made my decision. I will restart anew without any major armour/clothings/weapons mods. Yesterday I made another cut and now there are only 212 mods running. Let's see how quick I can finish the main quest.

Sometimes... just sometimes... restarting fresh usually brings new atmosphere. Hopefully that's true.

*grabs leather armour, silver bow, and silver arrows*

Time to Get Chatty...

April 27th.

Dear diary--

Wait, this ain't a diary. It's a blog, kind of silly if I really open up myself way too wide but.. I guess that's today's trend in blogging. Anyways, I'm having a bit of technical problem for my Oblivion.

It's not a big thing though, it's just... one mod doesn't want to be deactivated, as if it has developed self-sentience and doesn't like if he gets deleted. Meh, speaking of Matrix and Cylons...

Anyways, I have been merging lots of mods. Weapons, clothings, and armours mods into one big helluva compilation mod. I do this because:

1. COC Testinghall convenience. I put several Ayleid casks containing all weapons, armours, and clothings I have merged from various mods.

2. Cutting down the number of running mods for my Oblivion. I have cut 40+ mods, and now my total number of mods is 218.

Now... here's the kicker.
This particular mod (UFF Formal Wear), doesn't want to be deactivated. I mean... I know it's a great mod containing beautiful dresses for lasses and elegant outfits for the lads. Imagine that if you want to RP for having a ball, royal wedding (heh, what a coincidence :D), or simply making romantic screenshots, this mod is the way to go. Credit goes to Terry Malick and fellas (as written in the readme) for the mod.

Now by meaning that it doesn't want to be deactivated, my game crashes if I untick the mod from being active. Checking with TES4Edit, there's nothing unusual there. Clothings and armours are tucked in containers, and they are placed both in Hawkhaven (coc Hawkhaven ftw) and Anvil's Private Quarter... if you want to get them in hardcore way.

In the mean time, I will keep the mod activated (just this one) until fellow modders give me the answers for my confusion.

I think I'm obsessed in deactivating just this one mod, I don't know why... blame it to my OC tendency :|

Well... Sure It's Nice Being Solitary

Hulloes there!

It's Angga here. Or you may call me PJ, or Pujangga.
Actually, my name is Angga Cahyadi Santoso.

If you do know about the history in Oblivion's screenshooting, particularly where I used to hang out in the main hub, you will probably notice that I and many fellow Shooters have resorted back to Oblivion-related forums. Some others post blogs on their own.
This does not meant that I went rogue, ragequit, Q___q, or even proclaimed I would take down an entire site, just to get noticed. Naaaah, never had any such intentions.

Creating a blog is one of my sole intention of showcasing that... I... play... Oblivion... in pretty much a wrong way.

Aye, that's it!

Oblivion is a wonderful game. It's been years since I got my Oblivion, started playing it, got stuck, joined forums, and eventually embraced myself to modding and screenshooting scenes.

My first mod is Screenshooter's Illumination. As a modder, I say that it's a wonderful mod.
Like.. *doh*.. Every modders will say that their creations are awesome, ain't it?

My mod, to be honest, was invented because I was so curious about screenshooting; how many wonderful Shooters out there could pull colourful shots.
It turned out that the shots they took were well lit, natural lighting source in the game, such as the crystals in Ayleid ruins, torches in the caves, sunlight piercing through the holes, you name it.

That's why I invented my illuminating gem, derived inspiration from other mods which also work as an artificial light sources. With these gems, you can pretty much go everywhere with dark surrounding, drop the gems, and voila! Let there be light!

Mmmkay, that's enough for my modding experience. Now onto my hobby as a screenshooter...
I take shots because... I don't know how to explain it...
How do you explain why philatelists collect stamps? Scooter mania cruises from city to city solely on his/her scooter/motorcycle? Why do some people invest in gears and equipments for airsoft gun tourneys and paintball big matches?
It's all about fun.
It's about amusing one's self. Sometimes I take shots for my own enjoyment, they turn into guilty pleasure because of the nature of my shots.

To be honest, I was despised due to my screenshooting style by some so-called 'elite artists'. They made judgment about what screenshooting was, how screenshots should be created, how artistic value should be noted, etc etc.
I saw few of his shots. It's nothing more than a bland, plain screenshots, with the HUD still active, and the character is in the center of the monitor, as if he took it straight away with that PRTSCN button when he was playing the game.

From that moment, I went to prove myself that I could do better. Up until now, this pleasure for vengeance is still carried on. It motivates me to get better in screenshooting and image-editing.

That would be all for now.

Cheerio!
